Six gins from two Kent distilleries have been awarded a silver medal in the 2021 London Spirits Competition.
Jonomade and Maidstone Distillery have won silver medals from the competition, which recognises the best spirits from around the world.
Dolly's Mix Raspberry & Cherry was the highest-scoring gin for Jonomade, with 82 points. Meanwhile, its Dick's Drop Navy Strength scored 81 points, alongside its newest gin Nana's Nip. The Jonomade Classic London Dry also scored 79 points in the silver category.
Maidstone Distillery's two gins, George Bishop London Dry Gin and Ranscombe Wild Small Batch Gin were both awarded a silver medal, with 81 points each.
The London Spirits Competition judging criteria consists of quality, value and packaging.
The Gin of the Year award went to Botanic Australis Navy Strength Gin from Mt Uncle Distillery in Australia.
Other categories in the competition include Spirit, Rum, Tequila, Vodka, Cognac, Brandy, Whisky and Liqueur of the year, as well as Distillery of the Year.
There are also accolades for Best in Show by Country, Best Spirits of the Year by Quality, Value and Packaging.
